Tasha has two decades of venture investment experience as a partner with JK&B Capital, a technology venture capital firm based in Chicago with over a billion dollars under management. As a partner at Impact Engine, Tasha evaluates investments in early stage start-up software companies, serves on the board of directors, manages growth, coaches and hires executive teams, and manages investments through exit. In addition to her investing roles, Tasha serves as Adjunct Professor of Social Impact at the Kellogg School of Management. Tasha has served as the board chair for Spark Ventures, a non-profit venture philanthropy organization investing in NGOs serving vulnerable children in developing countries. She is also a founding partner and former board chair for the Chicago chapter of Social Venture Partners.
Roger Liew is a Partner at Impact Engine. Roger has a long history leading technical teams at multiple startup companies based in Chicago. He most recently served as the Chief Technology Officer at ShopRunner. His tenure involved building a brand new company and technology leadership team and the relocation of headquarters to Chicago. Prior to ShopRunner, he was the Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer for Orbitz Worldwide. Roger joined Orbitz, LLC in 2000 as the startup’s vice president of technology. As the company’s fifth employee, he led the team that built the original technological infrastructure for the official launch of Orbitz.com in June 2001. He left Orbitz in 2004 to co-found G2 Switchworks, a startup in the travel technology space which was acquired by Travelport in 2008. Roger studied Math/Computer Science at the University of Chicago.
Priya Parrish is a Partner at Impact Engine, an investment firm managing funds for institutions and individuals that target for-profit, positive impact businesses in private markets. She leads the firm’s development and management of new investment strategies. Prior to joining Impact Engine in 2018, Priya gained over a decade of experience managing institutional investment portfolios across asset classes. Most recently, she was the Chief Investment Officer at Schwartz Capital Group, a leading single family office investing its capital across public and private markets on a global basis. Previously, she was a senior member of the investment team at Aurora Investment Management, a multi-billion dollar manager of hedge fund portfolios. Priya began her career as a product pioneer of impact investing in public markets, leading efforts to create investment vehicles that integrate environmental, social, and governance factors at Northern Trust Asset Management and KLD Research & Analytics. Priya currently serves as an Impact Investor in Residence at the University of Chicago, where she teaches, mentors, and supports impact investing programs at the Booth School of Business. She earned an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a BS from Babson College.
Chris Wu is an Associate at Impact Engine. Prior to joining in 2018, Chris was an engineering consultant at Arcadis, where he provided program management services for the City of Chicago’s Department of Water Management on their $2 billion capital improvement program to modernize the city’s water infrastructure. Chris is a licensed Professional Engineer and LEED Accredited Professional with a long history of providing engineering services for the design and construction of green buildings, including the 51-story Bank of America Tower in New York City, the first commercial high-rise in the United States to earn LEED Platinum certification. Chris holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering and a Master of Science degree in Structural Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He is currently an MBA candidate at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, in their part-time program.
Elizabeth Coston McCluskey
Elizabeth Coston McCluskey is a Principal at Impact Engine. Prior to joining in 2015, Elizabeth was active in developing the social impact community in Chicago as manager of the social innovation and impact investing programs at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. She previously worked in investment banking and wealth management at UBS and Hightower Advisors. Elizabeth earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Harvard University and an MBA from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business.
Elise O’Malley joined as Communications Coordinator in 2018 to support both our Ventures team and the broader firm on internal and external communications and events. Before joining Impact Engine, Elise served as a Project Partner and Sustainability Ambassador for EILEEN FISHER, Inc. in New York City, where she coordinated events and programs across retail stores. Elise is a Chicago native and earned her BBA from the University of Notre Dame.
