Cara Wood
Vice President of Finance and Operations
As Director of Finance and Operations at Impact Engine, Cara is responsible for finance, investor reporting, compliance, and office management.
Prior to joining Impact Engine, Cara served as the Vice President and CFO for New Markets Support Company (NMSC), a subsidiary of Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) leading the corporate finance department. Prior to this role, she served as NMSC’s controller, overseeing its day-to-day corporate finance and fund accounting portfolio.
Cara began her career as an auditor at Ernst & Young, where she earned her CPA license and has also worked in nonprofit accounting for an international relief organization. She holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance and a master’s degree in student affairs, both from Miami University (OH).
