Afresh is working overtime to reduce food waste with its proprietary technology deployed in grocery stores. Minnesota-based Cub Foods (part of United Natural Foods, the largest publicly traded grocery wholesaler in the US) recently shared it has achieved an impressive 18% reduction in produce shrinkage thanks to Afresh. And it's not just grocery stores taking notice; this month Afresh also won the Sustainability Impact Award from Progressive Grocer Magazine. The timing couldn't be better as a new poll shows nearly two thirds of Americans now agree food waste is a "very big problem."

Carbon Direct announced the hiring of its first head of climate justice, Dr. Christian Braneon formerly of Columbia University's Earth Institute. Dr Braneon, known for his climate research at NASA, says "We want to make sure that our clients understand all the different dimensions of their impact. In our platform right now, you can get a sense for the tons that you’re managing now and your carbon impact. But what we need to shift to is understanding your broader impact: How many jobs did you create? What’s the quality of those jobs?"

Circuit is expanding its electric shared mobility solution to Washington DC. As part of a new initiative announced by Mayor Muriel Bowser to create a Mobility Innovation District, Circuit won the call for projects to improve transportation in the city's Southwest neighborhood by providing $2 rides within a special zone.
